After studying this topic, students should be able to:
- Explain the scope and key elements of assignment and preparation.
- Apply the relevant financial concepts or calculations and explain their assumptions, risks and analytical limits.
Curriculum Scope
- The subject teachers have to discuss with students on possible topics of the project work, availability and sources of literature, availability of data, data collection methods, appropriate tools of data analysis etc. relevant to the subject within 10 lecture hours.

Teacher-guided preparation
- Discuss literature, data availability and methods.
- Select suitable corporate-finance tools.
- Use the stated ten-hour preparation allocation at its prescribed level.
Reporting
- Document calculations and sources.
- Explain sensitivity and limitations.
- Review conclusions with the subject teacher.
