  1. Demand from consumer equilibrium

    1. Start with preferences, prices and income.
    2. Locate equilibrium at successive prices.
    3. Record the chosen quantity at each price.
  2. Normal-good demand curve

    1. Transfer price–quantity combinations to a demand diagram.
    2. Explain the combined income and substitution response.
    3. State assumptions behind the derived demand relationship.
