    1. Identify the speaking voice and represented institutional perspective.
    2. Examine irony, enumeration and impersonal language.
    3. Analyze the relationship between public records and individuality.
  2. Critical response

    1. Discuss the criteria used to evaluate a person in the poem.
    2. Differentiate the speaker's view from the reader's interpretation.
    3. Support a critical response with textual evidence.
