    1. Minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile and maximum.
    2. Arrange observations and locate quartiles consistently.
    3. Summarize position and spread.
  2. Box-plot analysis

    1. Construct a box and whiskers from the chosen convention.
    2. Use the interquartile range to examine unusual observations.
    3. Compare distributions while stating how whiskers and outliers are defined.
