  1. Time-reversal test

    1. Reverse base and current periods consistently.
    2. Check the reciprocal relationship required by the test.
    3. Account for ratio versus percentage index conventions.
  2. Factor-reversal test

    1. Construct matching price and quantity indices.
    2. Compare their product with the value index.
    3. Evaluate prescribed index formulas using the test conditions.
