  1. Addition theorem

    1. Probability of alternative events.
    2. Mutually exclusive events and overlapping events.
    3. Identify the intersection before combining probabilities.
  2. Multiplication theorem

    1. Probability of joint events.
    2. Independent and dependent events.
    3. Use conditional probabilities where independence is absent.
