    1. Estimator and estimate.
    2. Desirable properties of an estimator.
    3. Point estimates of population characteristics.
  2. Interval estimation

    1. Confidence interval, confidence level and margin of error.
    2. Required distributional and sampling assumptions.
    3. Interpret an interval without treating confidence as a probability about a fixed parameter.
