Detailed Microsyllabus

  1. Planning and optimization

    1. Define activities, dependencies and resource requirements.
    2. Build an event schedule and identify constraints.
    3. Compare alternatives against time and cost objectives.
  2. PERT

    1. Explain optimistic, most likely and pessimistic duration estimates.
    2. Calculate expected durations under the stated method.
    3. Interpret critical paths and uncertainty without claiming guaranteed timing.
  3. Crashing

    1. Identify activities eligible for duration reduction.
    2. Compare incremental costs and achievable time savings.
    3. Recalculate the critical path and justify selected changes.
